Cookie Policy

Comedy Austin uses a small number of technologies to operate the site and remember your privacy choices. Optional categories are off until you select them.

Necessary

The host-only lf_consent cookie stores your category choices for 180 days with Path=/, Secure, and SameSite=Lax. A random session identifier supports a minimized consent receipt. Cloudflare may set __cf_bm for security and bot protection. Search, calendar browsing, subscriptions, local fonts, brand assets, and editorial event or venue media are core site functions and remain available.

Functional

Google Maps and YouTube are the current Functional providers. Their scripts, map tiles, embeds, and media do not load until you enable Functional technologies and request the relevant map or video. Addresses, listings, and video titles and attribution remain available without those providers.

Analytics

If you enable Analytics, a first-party Comedy Austin script measures page views, limited campaign attribution, and clicks from Comedy Austin to external websites. It uses a random identifier kept only in session storage for the current browser session. We store the page path and title, external destination domain and path without its query string or fragment, link label and placement, relevant event or venue identifier, and client and server times. Search terms, IP addresses, destination query strings, and full browser fingerprints are not written to our analytics event table. Analytics events are pruned after 13 months. Cloudflare edge and Worker request analytics may also operate as a necessary, cookie-free request-level baseline.

Marketing

No advertising or remarketing provider is currently configured. Marketing remains off unless a future reviewed provider is added and you expressly enable it. Global Privacy Control keeps this category off.

Editorial media and external links

Event and venue artwork may be delivered from the official venue, ticketing, or media host as editorial page content. Those hosts receive ordinary connection information when an image loads. YouTube preview cards use first-party styling and do not request a YouTube thumbnail. Ticket, venue, and YouTube links contact the destination only after you follow them. If Analytics is enabled, Comedy Austin records the outbound click first through its own endpoint.

Changing your choice

Use the Your Privacy Choices control in the site footer at any time. The preferences dialog includes Reject non-essential, and withdrawing a category prevents that optional provider from loading on future page views.
